Nobian and Air Products, a global leader in industrial gases, have signed a long-term agreement for the offtake of renewable from non-biological origin RFNBO-compliant, certified hydrogen produced at Nobian’s Rotterdam facility.
The hydrogen is produced at Nobian’s renewables-powered chlor-alkali electrolysis plant, which became in 2025 the first large-scale European renewable hydrogen producer to receive ISCC EU certification for RFNBO. With more than 14,000 tons of annual hydrogen production capacity (1.68 PJ), the Nobian facility in Rotterdam is Europe’s largest RFNBO-certified hydrogen plant.
