The Horizon Europe project STRONGBIONET has launched with 19 partners from 14 countries and a budget of €4.4 million. Running from June 2026 to May 2029, it aims to better connect Europe’s currently fragmented bioeconomy initiatives through a “network of networks”.
A central digital platform will support networking, education, investor engagement and science-policy dialogue. The project will also establish thematic Communities of Practice and strengthen cooperation between research, industry, policymakers and investors.
STRONGBIONET is coordinated by the Italian Circular Bioeconomy Cluster SPRING and supports implementation of the EU Bioeconomy Strategy.
